Whilst government funding covers standard Early Years Foundation Stage elements, we believe in providing the very best start in life during these crucial formative years. 95% of brain development takes place prior to the age of 5, meaning high quality early years education and experience is a vital springboard for lifelong learning.
Our Enhanced Provision includes:
Enhanced Provision charges are ‘voluntary contributions’. These services represent additional costs beyond government funding. Without the support of our families, we would not be able to provide these valuable extras, so we encourage all families to support us in contributing wherever possible.
If you choose standard provision, we’ll continue delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage through our core offering. All options will be discussed during your visit.

Outdoor Adventure and Natural Learning
We value outdoor experiences for children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development year-round. Our secure outdoor area offers active play, sensory exploration, and nature connection. Calverton’s beautiful setting provides countryside walks encouraging environmental awareness and adventure where we carry out our Forest Schools programme.
Nutritional Excellence
Proper nutrition supports children’s development through our exceptional menu. Fresh meals and snacks are prepared on-site using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our varied menu introduces diverse flavours whilst meeting government nutrition requirements and accommodating dietary needs safely.
Alternative meal arrangements are available to parents whereby you can provide packed lunches in line with our ‘Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds’ policy. Should you choose this option, afternoon tea needs to be delivered by 3:30 pm due to storage limitations and Food Safety Association guidelines. Policy and Agreement forms for meal alternatives will be available should you wish to take up this option.
Inclusive Support and SEND Provision
We’re committed to inclusive practice with extensive SEND support experience. Our SENCO oversees personalised plans for additional assistance needs. We work with external specialists implementing adaptations ensuring all children access our full curriculum, celebrating neurodiversity.
Settling-In Programme
We understand that beginning life at nursery is significant for both children and parents /carers. Our bespoke programme suits individual needs, with short visit sessions transitioning to full days as and when children are ready.. This gentle approach ensures they build strong key worker relationships and confidence in their new environment.
Communication Systems
Multiple channels keep parents connected with their child’s experience. Young children receive daily diaries documenting important details such as food and toileting to assist you at home. Parents opting for the Enhanced Provision package can access our digital platform with photos, observations, and assessments. Termly reports provide detailed progress insights with consultation opportunities, and of course staff provide brief feedback at the end of each day.
